The term “unbreakable Team spirit” means each player taking responsibility for his attitude on and off the field. You must consider yourself a leader even if you are not captain. Show a never-say-die attitude, use positive body language, motivate others and be unwavering in your confidence.
Yesterday marked the second round of the Mount Isa World Series Clusters at the Mount Isa Rugby Grounds. It was also the debut match for the Mount Isa Barbarians, who had managed just two training sessions beforehand. With only four players available—most of the team side-lined by injuries or work commitments—the determination and morale of the Barbarians never wavered. Their coach, a spirited 60-year-old, along with other similarly aged supporters, laced up their boots and stood ready to join the field just to make up the numbers. It was a truly inspiring testament to team unity and the enduring human spirit.
Fortune smiled when our brothers from Tuvalu stepped in, lending us some of their finest players. Though Tuvalu is a small island nation in the Pacific, their generosity was immense, and their support invaluable.
Team Tuvalu
Led by motivational sports mentor Sunia Raitava, who captained the team with a fearless, never-give-up mentality, the Barbarians took to the field with unwavering resolve.

Although we didn’t reach the playoffs, we relished every moment playing alongside and against our Pacific brothers from Tuvalu and Tonga.

Every accomplished man stands beside an even more remarkable woman, and it is our women who inspire and uplift our team, encouraging them in every pursuit.
